Is forgiveness for forgiveness?

Sin is apart of life. Plain and simple. It is not that we accept that or like it but as a fallen race it is rooted within our flesh. If there was no sin in our lives would we really see the need for a God? None the less we as a people do sin and find ourselves needing a Savior. God the Father sent His one and only Son here to earth so that we can have forgiveness of our sins through His death (John 3:16). You see that is just the thing. Our sins have already been forgiven when Jesus said it is finished on the cross. So why do we ask for forgiveness? Well it is not so that we can be forgiven, because we already are, but instead to bring us back into the presence of God. In class I received this drawing labeled "In the Circle of His Presence," where it describes life inside and outside the presence of God (when I can find this diagram online I will post it). It goes on to say that sin does not remove us from the book of life but brings us away from the best God has for us. So asking for forgiveness is not meant to be asking for forgiveness. We already have been forgiven. The guilt and the feeling we receive after we sin is what it feels like to be out of the presence of God. So if you leave a room and you want to go back in, you turn around and enter back through the door you just left. In other word to enter back into the presence of the Lord you need to find the door, or sin, you exited by and walk back through it. That is the whole purpose of forgiveness. So with all that said you have been forgiven and get back into the presence of God. That is the only place where life has meaning.

Lifes gonna happen

So life has been a little crazy. Actually I have had a lot of different thoughts about this blog. School has been keeping busy and work has taken my evenings away. I do believe that God has called me to use this blog in some way to glorify Him. So with that said I feel that I have had a lot of undermining thoughts that have been telling me other wise. Life can be hard sometimes. But if you keep it is Jesus every thing will turn out ok.

So I have never done anything like this before. I have hopes to share a little bit of my life with who ever decides to take the time and read this. I usually have a lot of thoughts that a running through my mind. I am planning on sharing those here. Some of the things I may share will be unanswered questions in my life and some things will be what I truly believe. If you decide to read this page please respond to what I am saying. If you have questions please ask. If you feel like you have good insight, let me know what you think.
